1st Birthday

Anna turned 1 on Saturday!  I can't believe that a whole year has passed us by.  She's gotten so big and is doing so much.  For her birthday, we had an Elmo party.  She loves to watch him on Sesame Street.  I made little Elmo toppers for the cupcakes and decorated with primary colors.  Everyone had the chance to color an Elmo coloring page, too.  Aunt Sarah & Uncle Peter and their kids as well as Uncle Ken & Aunt Kate and their kids came to celebrate with us.
Anna couldn't have cared less about opening the presents, but she did enjoy eating her cake.  Mostly, she got frosting.  For presents, she got books from Grandma & Grandpa Wheeler and $5 from Nana & Pop (we're going to get her some balls).  From Mom & Dad, she got books, a toothbrush, and and Elmo doll.  From cousins Jared & Billy she got a bright caterpillar and from Aunt Sarah, some clothes.

It was a great day.  Thanks everyone for making it so special.
