It's hard to believe, but Anna is 3 years old already! She is growing so fast. She's done so much growing in such a few short years.
Let me tell you a little about our little girl. She has gone from being small for her age to a little tall for it. She's got the darkest brown eyes from the Bailey side, but her hair she got from her daddy. At this time, the only kind of hair-cut she's had is a little trim to some of her bangs. It grows so slowly and is so fine and wispy. She's a good eater and loves her veggies- especially raw veggies.
Anna hasn't met a person under the age of 20 that isn't her friend. She is very open and friendly to everyone. She loves to play and will ask anyone and everyone to come join her. She is also very daring. She climbs, jumps, rolls, and runs all over the park and will try anything. She is very proud of being a big sister and loves to give Matthew hugs and kisses. If he starts crying in the car, she'll sing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star to him.
Her imagination is huge. Most of the time, she is pretending to be a princess and running around the house wearing one of her Sunday dresses. The other day, she said it was her wedding dress and she would be getting married in 2 days! She has 2 imaginary friends the come and go. Caliggley and the prince. They live in the 'other room', which is the mirror image she sees of her bedroom in a cabinet. Often you can find her singing songs she's memorized (sometimes with her own lyrics) or reciting parts of Caillou or Max and Ruby.
She is such a joy and a sweet-heart. I can't wait to see what comes up next.
Now, on to the birthday. Anna asked for Chinese noodles for dinner and a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and strawberries for dessert. I found an easy recipe for sesame noodles which I paired with baked sweet and sour chicken over rice. Sarah gave me a great recipe for chocolate cake. I frosted it with chocolate whipped cream and added chopped up strawberries between layers and sliced strawberries on the top and side. Yum!
Anna got several things for her birthday. A couple of books came from Grandma, a gardening kit from Nana & Pop, and Candyland and bouncy ball from Mom and Dad. She also got a marble run kit from her Aunt Gina. That was by far, the one she likes the most.

It's so funny that her hair doesn't grow on the sides!! She sure is cute!! I can't believe how much she looks like you did!
