Some Anna News

Thought I should let you all know what's going on in our lives right now...it's been a while.

Let's start with Steve and I.  That'll be quick.  Steve's been working hard at Optum.  He was on a difficult, high priority, drop everything for this project for several months.  We were so glad when it released and he could go back to his normal routine.  Last weekend, he went with the youth in our stake on a handcart trek.  He didn't have to hike since he was on the food committee, but was filthy and tired when he got home.  I'm doing pretty well.  The pregnancy tiredness has hit me recently so I've been taking naps when Anna goes down.  I had my first appointment today and my doctor did an ultrasound.  We definitely have a baby coming, and no, it's not twins.  (Sorry Mom Wheeler!)

She's so cute!
Anna is the one with some big changes going on.  First, she got a big girl twin bed a couple of weeks ago.  Steve and Dad Wheeler put it together and after getting the mattress, Anna officially moved in.  Things have gone surprisingly well.  The first couple of nights she talked to herself for about an hour before going to sleep.  But, she never came out.  She's now good at going to sleep right away.  Nap time was similar.  The first few days, she played the entire time and didn't sleep.  But now, she goes to sleep (Thank Heavens!)
Anna's other big life change is that we are potty training.  Last Thursday I decided to go for it.  We bought some panties and stayed home all morning.  I kept reminding her  to go potty.  After 3 messy accidents, I got tired and we gave up.  Surprise, surprise though, Anna had other things in mind.  The next day, she announced that she needed to go potty.  She's been doing it ever since!  We're trying to keep her in her panties most of the day.  I think we've got #1 down, it's getting #2 that we need to work on. Oh, well.  One step at a time. I'm just hoping she'll be fully trained by the time the baby comes.

House Update

It's been kind of a crazy couple of weeks for the house.  I haven't been able to sit down and write a post because the house has been changing so much every day.  We've finally gotten to a point, though, that the outside isn't going to change so much any more.  Enjoy the pictures.  We're enjoying visiting and walking around the house every day.

(the name in the cement is a neighbor kid's, luckily it was covered by a column)
